Boroscope inspection training for GE CFM56-7 engine

Description

Practical and theoretical training from the scope of borescopes inspection according to the manufacturer’s documentation. The training includes: • General familiarization with construction of the engine; • Preparation of equipment for engine boroscopy; • Boroscopy techniques and the safety of the test; • Inspection service quality; • Classification and measurement of defects; • Preparing the inspection report. Objectives: After completing the course, participants will be able to: • Describe the general structure of the engine; • Name stages of compressor / turbine and components to be inspected using a borescope; • Effectively use the apparatus; • Locate and name the access ports and areas subject to inspection; • Use safety rules and know the temperature limits; • Identify damage to the engine components and their limits; • Perform boroscopy tasks on the corresponding engine and interpret the results using AMM / EMM; • Record inspection with the help of photo and video devices.

Educational knowledge at the secondary school level
